Bangkok at Night

BANGKOK AT NIGHT

Bangkok Night Tour

Why do this in the evening? Bangkok’s principal landmarks and lesser-visited edifices are illuminated in their glory after dark. This is a quieter, more meticulousdiscovery of the city’s gems in the relative cool of the evening, uncovering 200 years of architecture to understand The City of Angels.

We’ll trace grand European-style boulevards such as RachadamnernNok Avenue, site of the imposing Rama V equestrian statue, as well as classical Chakri temple architecture at Wat Benchamabophit (Marble Temple). These are far more compelling when the crowds and traffic have reduced. Follow the royal mile from Dusit into the heart of Rattanakosin, with intimate visits to the City Pillar, a tuk-tuk journey from Democracy Monument through to Wat Pho and the spires of the Grand Palace and the vernacular architecture of the Giant Swing, Wat Suthat, and the city’s principal Brahmin and Hindu Shrines. It is The City of Angels to be sure, and this journey focuses on quieter landmarks – some viewed from the outside, and a choice of local dining venues within the proximity of these illuminated gems.

Option: Observe Buddhist devotees chanting solemnly at one of the city’s celebrated temples.

Program includes: Snacks, drinking water, soft drinks, cool towels, all entrances fees, transport costs and a professional host.

Duration: 4-5 hours

Please ask your butler to make the arrangements.
