Responsible Hospitality

The Story of The Siam

At The Siam, we believe that luxury travel should be a memorable and meaningful experience that actively involves and contributes to the wellbeing of our local community and ecology.

To this end, we are highly committed to making philanthropy and sustainability in our local community a core part of our business and operating strategy.

Charity Work

The Sukosol Group, and Sukosol family (led by Khun Kamala Sukosol) in particular, have long been synonymous with charity work in the Land of Smiles. In 2009 Khun Kamala was named as one of Forbes Asia’s “48 Heroes of Philanthropy” and her annual charity concerts have raised more than 75 million baht for various charities over the years.

Green Initiatives

As with all Sukosol Hotels, the owners, staff and management are firmly committed to protecting the environment and consistently upgrading the “green” standards of all of its businesses. Our Executive Vice President Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi is currently the Chairperson for Environment of the Thai Hotels Association and is working to promote environmentally friendly practices across all hotels in the country.

Refill not Landfill

The Siam has eliminated all single use plastic bottles. As part of this initiative we are one of the first hotels in Thailand to sign up to the RefillNotLandfill program which encourages use of refillable water containers.

We invite guest to use the complimentary refillable water containers provided in all rooms during their stay in Bangkok and beyond.  As such, we have installed 3 water refill stations at the hotel;

  • Poolside at Bather’s Bar
  • Next to the ATM by the Welcome Courtyard
  • The Gymnasium

Additionally, by using the QR code on the bottle guest will be able to see other refill sites located along the river as guest explores beyond The Siam.
